Lendon received a "magical" surprise for his fourth birthday this year- a trip to Disney World! The night before we left, his stuffed mickey, balloons and a special notes showed up at our doorstep with the big news! We had one happy and very surprised boy and since he wants to be a pilot when he grows up, the plane ride was almost as exciting as going to Mickey Mouse's house.
I snapped this picture of Lendon on my iphone of Lendon in the pilot's seat before we took off. The pilots were so nice and showed him how they steered the plane and let him touch and turn on a ton of buttons and switches. Talk about a little boy's dream!
We found out that Lendon is quite the dare devil on this trip and definitely does not have a problem with heights and speed. He loved all the rides and meeting all of his favorite characters. We took a pillow case for all of the characters to sign and he has slept on it every night since we have returned home. He took his job as getting autographs very seriously!
The most anticipated characters that we met (and waited in an extremely long line to catch) was hands down Woody and Buzz!
We saw a lot of great parades on this trip and thank goodness Joe has some strong shoulder because they sure came in handy!
It's official, Lendon is now an pirate! He here was taking the official pirate oath...
At the animal kingdom Lendon was the center of attention when he jumped in the middle of some cheerleaders and started dancing with them (just like his daddy). Then, he was serenaded with the "Happy Birthday" song!
Lendon, your dad and I will never forget this special trip with you! The excitement on your face and the awe in your eyes every day is a memory that we will always treasure. We love you sweet boy!
