It didn't take us long to realize that Collin was not a big fan of watching t-ball practice and games and not being able to participate. Joe and Lendon was out of the field and he didn't quite realize that he was not on the team and was not supposed to participate. So after a couple of weeks of me pacifying a very unhappy two year old during practices and games and after a player dropped off the team, Joe and the other coaches decided to add him to the team. Thank goodness!
So, Collin joined up with the White Sox team at practices and in the games and never missed a beat. Quite honestly, he was much more interested in playing ball that Lendon was this year. Lendon quickly reached a state of pure boredom when out on the field whereas Collin was ready to catch a ball. Did I mention that he is our lefty? Yes, he has a cannon for an arm and hits left handed as well.
This was a really good first season for the boys to get the basics of what baseball is all about. Of course the best part of the season was the snacks after games and practices and the trophy at the end of the season which now rest in each of their rooms proudly on their night stands.
Accolades go out to Joe again for all of his hard work this year! I have been warned that if I sign him up as head coach again, he might kill me! Assistant coach will be just fine with him until the boys get a little older :)
