For New Years, Joe, Lendon, and I were invited to spend a couple of days with our good friends the Smiths and the Fillers at Jason Smith's parent's house nestled in the mountains between Cashiers and Highlands, NC. Oh how excited we were- some of our best friends and 4 kiddos! Talk about a picture perfect house and location...however... the Baugh family had a little drama on the trip!!! About an hour north of Atlanta as we drove in the caravan of SUVs heading to the mountains, I hear Joe scream from the backseat, "Oh, NO!!!" Yep, Lendon had just projectile vomited all over the car seat, himself, and Joe. To make a very, very, very long story short (since I cringe when I try to relieve it) let me bullet point the trip for you:
* lots and lots of vomiting from Lendon
*an emergency room visit
* lots of Phenergan Suppositories
*Bottles of Pedialyte
*emergency run to the pharmacy (and yes all the pharmacies were closed when we needed one, so a local pharmacist came from his house to meet Joe) *** Thank you God!!***
* lots of Motrin and Tylenol
* 103 plus fever for the whole trip
*Sleepless nights
*a trip cut short
*Beautiful Snow and fun with our friends in between all the other stuff :)
The couple of hours that Lendon felt well of the trip, he and David had a blast playing on the air hockey table...
And Lendon made it outside for a couple of minutes to take a walk with Joe, Jason, and Kate
