Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, we took life a little slow.  I mean as slow as we can go which really isn't that slow.   We just hung out around the house until it was time to go the the Christmas eve service at church.  There are few things that I love more that a candlelight Christmas service.  It is such a great time to reflect on the true meaning of the season before complete chaos in sues.   After church we ate dinner and then started our preparations for Jolly St. Nick!

First things first... We wanted to make sure that Santa's reindeer would have a little snack when they came by for a visit so Lendon and Collin sprinkled or more accurately dumped their magic reindeer food out in our front yard for our four legged friends...

Then we put out cookies and CHOCOLATE milk for Santa.  Lendon insisted that chocolate milk was the way to go....

On Christmas morning it was official.... Santa came and brought lots of toys including a very special MICKEY MOUSE bike!

Collin and Lendon could hardly believe that Santa had come and he ate some of the cookies and drank all of the chocolate milk...

Collin: "Look Mommy, Santa ate our cookies!"

Of course the most loved toy that Lendon received was his Mickey Mouse bike...

Lendon wanted to go outside and ride so badly, but because it was raining we told him that he had to stay inside the carport.  Needless to say, this made him a little blue...

Just waiting for the rain to stop....

I guess he decided that he would make the best of the carport....

Thankfully later in the afternoon the raindrops stopped and we were able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.  Lendon was so excited to hop on his bike and ride and best of all there were great water puddles to hit! Typical little boy...

To round off our Christmas day, Popa, Gran, Uncle John and Ms. Kathy joined us for Christmas dinner and to say the least we all slept really well when our head finally hit our pillow at night!
