The second week of December was filled with a lot of EXCITEMENT. This year was our year to host the "McLendon Family" Christmas party in Birmingham so we were very excited to have everyone over. The past couple of years we have sponsored a family in need and provided them with a wonderful Christmas. We did the same this year and helped a single mother with three small children. I can honestly say that it is truly better to give than receive and I am so proud to be a part of family who comes together every year to help others. Of course we could not have a gathering without a little drama so you can imagine my surprise when my shower was interrupted right before the party with Lendon looking like this...
What you can not see in the photo above is the additional gash that was quite the bleeder under his bangs. He apparently fell or jumped (not quite sure) off of a bed and gave us all quite a scare. It's a good thing that he is a tough little guy because it did not slow him down at all!

After everyone had left on Saturday, Lendon and I sat down to tackle his first Gingerbread House. He really showed his independence and wanted to do everything by himself. He did a great job and the finished product was adorable.
We rounded our weekend off with a magical train ride on the North Pole Express! Unfortunately a couple hours before our boarding time, Collin began projectile vomiting so needless to say he missed the trip to the North Pole. I was devastated, but at least we were still able to take Lendon.
Finally the time came when Lendon was able to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas... a MICKEY MOUSE BIKE!
