In early June we went to see Dr. Dennis for Collin's one year check-up. Just like we thought he is growing like a weed. He is no longer my little baby that loves to constantly snuggle and get kisses, but instead is a busy toddler who would rather chase after his brother, jump off beds, and ride anything with a motor or four wheels and a seat. To say that he is all boy is the understatement of the century!
One thing that has stayed the same is his ability to paralyze Joe and I with his sweet smiles that show off his pearly white teeth. As of now, he has 6 teeth fully in and two more that are half way there. If you were wondering if he has been talking lately that is an affirmative yes. Some of the most common words we hear from the stinker are quack-quack, woof-woof, mama, dada, gran, popa, paw paw, hey, hot, bye and choo choo. He has also got the grunt and point combo down to indicate that he wants something or wants to go somewhere.
Like his brother, he would stay outside all day if we would let him. Some of his favorite activities these days include pushing his coupe car (he thinks he is too big to ride now), sliding down the slide at the park, riding his mini four wheeler and the gator and pretty much copying everything that Lendon does which is not always a good thing. Joe and I have talked about it and we have come to the conclusion that he thinks he recently celebrated his 2nd birthday instead of his first! Ha!
Now, back to our one year appointment. Collin weighed 24 pounds and 7 ounces (50th to 75th percentile) and was 30 inches tall (50th percentile). His head circumfrance was 18 1/2 inches (50th to 75th percentile). Another part of his body that has grown is his feet. He is now a size five! Yep, he is going to be another big one!
