A weekend of Firsts: First snow, first kiss, and first steps

Wow, we had a BIG weekend. Where to start?... Okay, on Friday Birmingham had a "substantial" snow storm so on Saturday we had to get out in the white fluff and play. Lucky for us, the weekend before we found two vintage radio flyer sleds that a former family left in our attic. How cool, right?! Everything was going very well at first- Lendon was loving the snow I snapping some great pictures...

But then Lendon took a little tumble off his sled.....

I know what a pitiful picture!  Poor little guy!  But no worries, Lendon was a trooper and brushed the snow off and played a little longer.  

Later in the day Aunt Melanie, Sally and Phillip came up to play. Lendon had already begun to take a few first steps, but he really showed off for his company....

And he loved playing with Philip, especially under his one of the "big boy" beds in his new room...

Oh but our day is not over... the Eatons and the Henigs come over to hang out for dinner.

This is where the real news BEGINS......Lendon gets his first KISS!  See below for how it all went down.

Lendon: Hey Julia, since it is Valentine weekend I thought maybe we could experiment with this thing the adults call kissing

Julia:  Hmmm..... I don't know, my daddy is sitting real close by...

Julia:  No, no. I just don't think I can do it.  

Lendon: Why don't you just meet me half way and we will see what will happen?

Julia: Okay!

And the rest is history... One minute we were talking about how cute they were playing together and the next we were in shock that they were smooching in plain view of everyone.  I guess we are going to have to really watch these two!! HA-HA
